Live printing is an interactive experience where we bring our printing setup directly to your event – be it a corporate gathering, festival, brand activation, or private party. Guests can watch as custom designs are printed onto items like t-shirts, long sleeves, and sweatshirts right before their eyes.

What Meltdown Creative Works Provides
  • Professional On-Site Team: Our experienced and friendly printers/brand ambassadors will manage the entire printing process, engage with your guests, and ensure everything runs smoothly.

  • All Necessary Printing Equipment: We bring the complete setup: screen printing press, screens, inks, curing units, etc. – all professional grade for top-quality results.

  • Setup and Teardown: Hassle-free for you. We handle the complete setup before your event starts and efficient teardown once it concludes. (We’ll confirm specific timing with you).

  • High-Quality Inks & Materials: We use premium, durable materials to ensure your custom items look great and last long.

  • Standard Booth/Station Presentation: A clean, professional, and engaging printing station. We can discuss incorporating your branding elements too!

 
Garment & Item Options

Meltdown Creative Works Supplied Items:

  • Quality Brands: We can provide a range of garments for your event. We generally offer brands like Gildan Softstyle for t-shirts, tanks, long sleeves, hoodies, etc., but can source other brands or specific styles upon your request.

  • Advance Ordering: If we are providing the items, we ask that you finalize your order (styles, sizes, quantities) no less than one week before your event date to ensure availability.

  • Pricing: Additional costs per item will vary based on style and brand, and this will be clearly outlined in your quote.

Customer Supplied Items (Bring Your Own!):

  • Get Creative: We encourage you to bring your own garments! This is a great way to experiment with unique styles, colors, or even print on a favorite existing piece.

  • Material Guidelines: For best results and to ensure compatibility with our printing processes, please ensure supplied garments are primarily 100% Cotton, 100% Polyester, or a Cotton/Polyester blend.

  • Liability: We do our best with every item, but we cannot assume liability for any garment that we are not familiar with printing on or that doesn’t meet material guidelines.

  • Unsure: Just Ask! If you’re uncertain about a particular garment’s suitability, please ask us beforehand, and we’ll let you know if it will work.

 
Artwork & Design

Content Guidelines: We cannot print copyrighted material without proper authorization, nor can we print content deemed inappropriate for the event’s audience. We strive to ensure the artwork and environment are suitable for all attendees.

Submitting Your Artwork:

  • If you’re providing the artwork, please submit it no less than one week before your event date.

  • You can email artwork to info@meltdowncreative.com.

  • Preferred formats include: [.AI, .EPS, .PSD, high-res .PNG].

Need a Design? We Can Help!

  • If you don’t have artwork, our talented team can provide design services. We offer custom single color design creation for a one-time fee of $50 per design. Let’s discuss your ideas!

Screen Setup (for Live Screen Printing):

  • Included: Your setup fee (as part of your package) typically includes artwork prepared on up to 4 screens for on-site events or in-house studio events.
     

Event Requirements
  • Adequate Space: A dedicated area of approximately of at least 100 sq ft. per station, preferably in a high-traffic, visible location. It needs to be a flat, level surface, and protected from elements if outdoors.

  • Access to electricity: Access to standard dedicated 15/20 amp electrical outlets within 25 feet of the setup area. (We’ll confirm specific needs).

  • Event Access & Logistics: Clear loading/unloading access, parking details for small truck and trailer, and specific setup/teardown times.

 
Payment Details
  • Flexibility: We offer flexible payment options.

    • For group events, we typically arrange for one lump sum payment from the event coordinator/host.

    • For certain events or parties, we will accommodate individual cash payments as guests complete their printing. We will discuss the best option for your specific event.

  • Accepted Methods: We prefer cash payments but also accept checks and all major credit cards.

  • Booking Confirmation: A deposit are typically required to secure your date. Final payment terms will be discussed prior to your event.

 
Important Considerations
  • Weather Contingency (for Outdoor Events): We love bringing the print party outside and always come equipped with our own tent! To make sure the prints look amazing and everything runs smoothly, the best spot for us is one with a bit of a windbreak. Placing us next to a building or under a cover makes a huge difference. We’ll be happy to help you find the perfect spot on event day

  • Travel: We primarily serve central Illinois and surrounding areas.

  • Cancellation Due to Weather: In the event that severe weather or unsafe conditions require the cancellation of your event, the initial deposit is non-refundable. The deposit secures your date and covers our pre-event planning and preparation costs. However, we will gladly apply your full deposit toward a new, mutually agreed-upon date within 12 months of the original event.
